Being Back in France, and having got the garden back in some sort of order we have been able to profit from some fine weather to get out a bit again. Returning to the nearby Grouin du Sud at the edge of the Bay of Mont St Michel, a favourite spot of ours, we found by chance and easy way down not the little stony beach. The beach was empty, until a group of walkers crossing the bay reached the shore!
Yesterday we went down to look at this year's open air Expo at La Gacilly. It did not disappoint. However the day was hot and the village became quite crowded, it being Sunday and we did not have the energy to see all. We shall return.
On the way back we stopped briefly by the Megaliths at Monteneuf, another favourite location and one that was a lot quieter. We were delighted to see a display of common spotted orchids near the stones and I have put a photo on the site.
Now it rains. Such is the summer in Normandy.
